Client Medical Requirements 

Please review the below information before your appointment to ensure laser tattoo removal is suitable for you. If you have any questions regarding medical requirements please don't hesitate to reach out to us. 

The below would mean laser tattoo removal is NOT suitable for you

-Had a chemical peel in the last 8 weeks

-Currently have sunburnt skin

-Currently using sunbeds

-Used Retin-A, Renova, AHA, BHA, Retinoid or Retinol products in the last 8 weeks

-Currently using artificial tanning products (fake tan) or ever used tanning injections/enhancers/nasal sprays

-Had a previous allergic reaction or problematic healing from laser tattoo removal

-Currently on any blood thinning medication​

-Acute/chronic renal failure

-Received photodynamic therapy in the last 3 months

-Currently receiving treatment for pulmonary embolism, blood clots, leg ulcers or phlebitis?

-Received treatment with Ro-Accutane in the last 6 months

-Have a pacemaker or any metal plates/pins at the site of the tattoo removal

-Currently pregnant or breastfeeding

-Taken any photosensitive medications in the past 6 months

-Taken St Johns Wort medicine in the past 6 months

-Received chemotherapy or radiotherapy treatment in the last year

If the tattoo is on your face and any of the below apply, laser tattoo removal is NOT suitable for you

-Had a chemical peel in the last 8 weeks

-Had dermaplaning in the last 4 weeks

-Had a face lift in the last 3 months

-Had laser resurfacing in the last 3 months

Please review the below medical conditions, if you have one of the listed conditions, laser tattoo removal is NOT suitable for you 

- Rheumatoid Arthritis

- Lupos

- Cancer (last 12 months)

- Vitiligo

- Psoriasis in treatment area

- Photosensitivity

- Bleeding abnormalities

- Hepatitis

- HIV/Aids

- Dermatitis in treatment area

- Condition treated with Thyroxine

- Epilepsy/Seizures

- An auto-immune disease

- Keloid scarring

- Heart murmur/abnormality

- Frequent infections

- Liver/Kidney disease

- Skin sensitivity

- Uncontrolled high blood pressure

- Uncontrolled diabetes

 

The below medical conditions require authorisation from your GP to carry out laser tattoo removal. With GP approval, laser tattoo removal IS suitable for you.

- Anaemia

- Controlled diabetes

- Controlled high blood pressure
